FAQ

1. May I have guests?

Yes, you may have guests. However, if the owner of the interval is not present for the duration of the stay, you must inform management to make the necessary arrangements prior to their arrival.

2. Are pets allowed?

To guarantee the safety of all owners, pets will not be permitted at this time. There are plenty of kennels in close proximity to The Shorelines Marina Club.

3. Is smoking allowed?

Smoking is not permitted in the cottages. There will be designated areas for smoking on the property.

4. Do I have a place to store my boat during my stay?

Yes, you do. One of the advantages of owning a fraction at The Shorelines is each owner will have one boat slip for the duration of their stay included in their ownership.

5. Is there a limit to how many people can sleep at the cottage?

Yes, each cottage can accommodate up to eight people. There are 3 bedrooms and a loft with a pull out sofa bed.

6. When will the first cottages be ready for occupancy?

All cottages in phase one will be ready for occupancy fall of 2011.

7. Who owns the property?

The Shorelines Marina Club will be owned solely by the owners of the fractions..

8. Can I loan my fraction to family or friends?

Yes, you may loan your fraction to family and friends. It is the responsibility of the owner to inform management prior to your guest’s arrival.

9. Can we exchange our weeks?

Yes, your purchase will include a three year membership with RCI, which gives you access to 4500 resorts in 100 countries with approximately 4 million members worldwide.

10. Can I purchase more than one interval?

Yes, you can purchase more than one interval.

11. How and when is housekeeping done?

Your cottage will be cleaned from top to bottom prior to your arrival. If you own more than one fraction, housekeeping will clean your cottage on a weekly basis.

12. When is maintenance done?

The resort will be closed for one week, twice during every year/ During this time, your cottage will be deep cleaned and any repairs and maintenance will be completed.

13. What is fractional ownership?

Fractional ownership allows people to own a shared interest in luxury property. This type of ownership is ideal for people who don’t have the time to use or maintain their dream vacation home all year round.

14. When will the recreational facility be operational?

Construction on the recreational facility will commence once the first phase is complete.

15. How long will we own our cottage?

It is all up you. You own your shares in perpetuity. Your shares can also be sold, transferred, or willed as you choose.

16. May I rent one of my weeks?

Yes, you may rent any of your weeks. At the completion of the development, management will have a rental program available to make it easier for owners to rent their weeks.

17. What is geothermal heating and cooling?

Geothermal energy is a renewable source of energy which is captured from underneath the earth’s surface, and is converted to usable energy. This source of energy is used to heat and cool your cottage and is cost effective and environmentally friendly.

18. What is different about the fractional ownership program at The Shorelines Marina Club, compared to other fractional developments in Ontario?

The Shorelines Marina Club is the closest fractional ownership to Huntsville and the only development of its kind on Lake Vernon. The Shorelines is one of two fractional developments that offers log cottages or a private boat launch, and is further enhances with a third year membership with RCI.

19. What deposits are required?

Your deposit of $5,000 will secure your cottage choice and your summer week. Another payment of $10,000 is required 60 days after the documentation is complete. The Balance is due at closing. All deposits are held in trust by Wheeler & Associates.

20. What are the Annual Maintenance Fees and what do they cover?

Your annual maintenance fees are approximately $500 a week. The annual maintenance fees include all taxes, utilities, landscaping, cleaning and repairs and all other expenses such as satellite television and high speed wireless internet.

21. Will there be storage lockers available to owners?

All the cottages at The Shorelines Marina Club will have 12 storage lockers, one for each owner.

22. How many shares will be sold?

At the completion of this development, The Shorelines Marina Club will consist of 16 cottages. There will be 800 shares, one share for each week owned.
